Do We Need To Renovate?
September 3, 2009Sometime in 1993, a Canadian punk-rock band was formed and it is a coincidence that the name of our band is the same as theirs - Reset.
We have to admit that they chose the name ahead of us, as our band was formed in 1999. In respect to them, we think that it is just right for us to change our name to avoid ambiguity and confusion. We also want to retain the name Reset because we were already initially known for this. So what we are planning to use, once all the members of our group agrees, is Reset & Renovate.
Why Renovate?
If you have already read our article on the band’s origin, you would know why we chose Reset. But what about Renovate? According to one portable dictionary, renovate means “to restore to a previous or better condition“. This meaning is very appropriate to our spiritual lives. We get back to God because we wanted to restore our spiritual lives to a fresh condition - as good as new. We wanted to transform our lives to a condition that is better than when we are apart from Him.
Once we have finalized everything, we will officially use Reset & Renovate (or maybe R&R as a shorter version of the name).
