To be a child of God is to have true faith in Him. If we truly believe in God, this makes us Christian by faith and not by name only. A real Christian overcomes the world by faith.
This song is about the happiness we felt when we accepted Jesus as our lord and saviour and allowing Him to take control of our lives. This, however, did not make us holy. But it made us people trying hard to be holy. Our lives really did change for the better and we cannot thank the Lord enough for this.
