Band Origin
April 1, 2009With the exception of Art Maclang and Sarah Machan, the band is composed of Couples for Christ (CFC) and Singles for Christ (SFC) members. They are also members of the South B CFC Music Ministry and residents of Parañaque City.
Sarah is a choir member of the Mary Help of Christian (MHC) Church in Better Living, Parañaque City. Her parents and sister are members of CFC and SFC, respectively.
Art, on the other hand, is a Baptist Church Pastor in BF, Parañaque City. He is also Froilan’s brother-in-law.
The name Reset is based on its real meaning “set to zero” or “set to where it started”. This may denote something negative to some people but the band has a Christian meaning to it. That is, turning away from sin and going back to God and have a fresh, clean start.
The band was formed to create Christian music that will mostly cater to the listening style of the youth. Another reason is to raise funds to buy musical instruments and equipments for the CFC music ministry where they belong.
