Where In The World is RESET?

April 12, 2011

It’s been a while since our last post and we are receiving a lot of emails asking “Where are we now?”. Well… we are still here and we are still together as always. However, because of some circumstances that we cannot ellaborate here, we are in an indefinite hiatus as a band. We don’t serve together frequently but we still continue to go out together and enjoy each other’s company. And one thing more that we can assure you is that we are still Christians and we will remain that way. We may not all be serving the same community now but we still worship the same God.

Thank you for your continuous support!

And… We’re Back Again!

June 21, 2010

It’s been a long time since our last post and we would like to give you some brief updates on what happened during our absence.

First of all, we would like to thank everybody who prayed for Carlo. He is very much okay now and he has already moved on. Now that he is happy, we’re happy too!

We really don’t know if our band is a passport for our drummers to work in Singapore. Our first drummer, Gary, went to Singapore after some years with the band. He is still there and enjoying both his work and his service to our Christian community there.

Last April, Henry, our former bass guitarist who became our drummer to take over Gary, went to Singapore also to try his luck there. Well… we have mixed emotions. We are sad because we surely miss him even if we sometimes chat in FB. We are also glad at the same time because we know that he has better career opportunities there. It’s hard for us, but we don’t want to be selfish so we need to support him in his endeavor. Once again, we are requesting for your prayers that he’ll find a good job there.

And speaking of Singapore, the band has a plan to do a Praise Fest there next year. We do not have an exact date yet and we are praying that God will help us with our schedule. We hope that our respective jobs will not be a hindrance to this great service opportunity.

That’s all for now. We will try to post as frequently as possible.

God bless you all!

Lyrics: Make Me An Instrument Of Your Love

August 18, 2009

And if I have a prophet’s power, and have knowledge of all secret things; and if I have all faith, by which mountains may be moved from their place, but have not love, I am nothing.” - 1 Corinthians 13:2

Love in its fullest meaning is true love to God and to man. Without this, the most glorious gifts are of no account to us, of no esteem in the sight of God.     (more…)

The Wonders of Technology

August 10, 2009

A few weeks ago, our song mixes got mixed up and we are currently working on these using our raw recording materials. Aside from our busy work schedule and rehearsals from our recent Praise Fest, remixing is one one of the reasons why we haven’t post any articles lately.   (more…)

Lyrics: I Believe

July 23, 2009

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.” - 1 Peter 1:8

There is a story about a college professor who says that if you don’t see, hear or feel something, it does not exist. He does not believe in God because God falls under his criteria.   (more…)

Lyrics: I’ll Follow You

July 16, 2009

Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” - John 12:26

Following Christ is not as easy as just hearing mass regularly or just helping the needy. Following Christ requires more. It may sound so difficult. But actually, it is!   (more…)

Our Mix Got Mixed-Up!

July 7, 2009

Some of you might be wondering why we haven’t post anything in the past few weeks. Well, there are three reasons why. First, we got tied up with our regular work to hit our deadlines. Second, we also got tied up with some personal family matters. And when we have just enough time to work on our next post which, by the way, should be another song/lyrics related, we discovered that the final mix of our songs got corrupted for some reasons. Good thing we still have the master copy. However, we need to remix it again.   (more…)

Lyrics: I Don’t Want to be in the Dark

June 11, 2009

Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” - Mat 26:41

This song was written for a play on the last day of the Christian Life Program (CLP) attended by Froilan in October of 1994. He was asked by his facilitators Franco and Edna de Roxas to write a song that will serve as the finale of the play. And this is the result after a day of thinking, writing and praying.   (more…)

The Musicians Who Once Served With Us

May 20, 2009

Serving the Lord through the talents He has given us is something we really love to do. It gives us a certain sense of fulfillment that we cannot get from doing things that we are getting paid for. But there are times that our other obligations hinder us to play together as a band. And because God is so good, He provided us with talented musicians to fill in the role of whoever in the band is not available.   (more…)

Lyrics: You Are There

May 14, 2009

For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.” - Psalm 27:5

Everyday, we are faced with challenges and at times, we wanted to give up because we could not think of solutions that would make things better. We feel so all alone and all that we can do is just worry.   (more…)

Lyrics: Jeffrey’s Song

May 9, 2009

For you yourselves have the knowledge that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:2

This is a love song written by Jeffrey Tan about the girl he loves but doesn’t have the courage to tell her so. You may probably wonder what the reading has got to do with the song. Just read on and you’ll find out.   (more…)

Lyrics: Song Of Praise

May 5, 2009

I will give praise to the name of God with a song; I will give glory to him for what he has done.” - Psalm 69:30

God has always been so good to us. We are so blessed that we cannot thank Him enough. Yes, we admit that we have prayers that have not been granted yet. But He also gave us a lot of things that we did not even prayed for. This is because God knows what we need and what is best for us. And as usual, all of these shall be granted in His time.   (more…)

A Peek at the FIC

April 28, 2009

Were you there at the Forward In Christ (FIC) Conference held at La Salle, Alabang last April 25?  Of course, we are not expecting all of you to be there since this event is for the CFC members from the South Sector. Some of you may probably be out of the country for a business or pleasure trip. But whatever your reasons are… Whether you were able to make it or not… Here are some of the pictures of Reset and CFC singers taken from the said event.   (more…)

Lyrics: He Is Love

April 22, 2009

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” - John 3:16

This is one of the most popular verses in the bible that we often hear from priests, missionaries and preachers. It is this same verse that inspired the creation of this song.   (more…)

Lyrics: Pain

April 20, 2009

For He inflicts pain, and gives relief; He wounds, and His hands also heal.” - Job 5:18

On a sunny day, lights that are on are hardly noticable unless we look at the bulb directly. This is because - for an obvious reason - the surroundings are already bright.   (more…)

Lyrics: Jesus the King

April 17, 2009

Let me give glory to you, O God, my King; and blessing to your name for ever and ever.” - Psalm 145:1

Praising God is a true language of holy joy.  And that is one reason why this song was written. It is to express such feeling and to acknowledge that Jesus is the king of kings and the lord of lords.     (more…)

Lyrics: Child Of God

April 15, 2009

Everyone who has faith that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God: and everyone who has love for the Father has love for his child. - 1 John 5:1

To be a child of God is to have true faith in Him.  If we truly believe in God, this makes us Christian by faith and not by name only. A real Christian overcomes the world by faith.   (more…)

Lyrics: I Will Praise Him

April 14, 2009

Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth; Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.” - Psalm 98:4

Whenever we praise God with all our hearts, mind and strength, it gives us a certain happiness that is quite difficult to explain. We always see light no matter what difficulties we are going through in life.    (more…)
